The city park is situated along the canyon and runs next to the neighborhoods of Glen Park, Diamond Heights, and Miraloma Park. There are various terrains covering the expanse of Glen Canyon Park and plenty of space to be explored.

Bring your whole family out to the Walter Haas Playground for a fun day in the sun. This playground is a wonderland for children, and it is dog-friendly too! Sit on one of the benches and watch your little one (or dog) play while catching views of the city below.


Put on your best shoes because it is time to go shopping. Canyon Market is the top grocery store to shop at near Glen Park. It has a neighborhood feel yet is large enough to accommodate a wide selection of goods plus an in-house butcher & baker as well as an outdoor sitting area.

You can never go wrong with books or records, and the Bird & Beckett Books & Records indie shop sells both. Pick up your favorite new read and grab a classic record to play in the background. What’s better? They host poetry readings and live music too.


Glen Park has 5 primary and secondary schools. One of them is Asawa (Ruth) San Francisco School of the Arts A Public School. The public schools that it has are Fairmount Elementary School, Academy of Arts and Sciences, and Glen Park Elementary School. They only have one private school which is St John S Elementary School.
